About YRE Bangladesh

Empowering young people to investigate, report and act

Young Reporters for the Environment is an international network and platform for young people to investigate, research and share solutions to environmental issues. In Bangladesh, YRE helps students across the country turn curiosity into credible environmental journalism.

The YRE method

Four steps from question to impact

Every YRE project follows the same proven journey, giving young reporters the skills to understand an issue and inspire change in their community.

1. Investigate

Research a local environmental issue and understand its causes and impact.

2. Propose solutions

Identify realistic solutions with your community, experts and decision-makers.

3. Report

Tell the story through articles, photographs, videos or podcasts.

4. Disseminate

Share your work widely to raise awareness and inspire action.
